Theme:  BAWAT ISA SA MASONERIYA AY MAHALAGA
               (“EACH ONE WITHIN MASONRY MATTERS”)

Aim of the Lecture: This lecture aims to introduce our theme for this Grand Lodge Year and motivate the Brethren to study, internalize and actualize its essence.

For this Masonic Year, our focus shall be on:

Masonic Education                             Masonic Governance                                                Masonic Improvement

Our Masonic Education shall be centered on Subordinate Lodge empowerment. Lodges and Masonic Districts shall be encouraged to conduct instructive and inspiring Lodges of Instruction.

Masonic Education Lectures during the Stated Meetings of the Lodges shall be brief and simple. The substance of the lectures shall be delivered by the Lecturers using their own words and their insights from their personal Masonic experiences that is relevant to both our theme and the concerns of the Lodges under their care.

Our theme for this Masonic Year is “Bawat Isa sa Masoneriya ay Mahalaga”(Each One Within Masonry Matters). Such theme has a dual aspect. The internal aspect directs us on our inward journey as individual Masons and on our relations with one another as brothers in the fraternity. On the other hand, the external aspect guides us on the outward manifestations of the progress of our Masonic journey and on our relations with non-Masons. To better enable us to work in harmony and unity, we should all familiarize ourselves with the theme and its rationale.

For Masonic Governance, Lodges and Masonic Districts shall undertake the activities described herein and in the circulars to be issued. Lodges and Masonic Districts shall autonomously plan and implement additional activities that are aligned with our theme for this Masonic Year and with the Masonic Education lectures on our Basic Tenets.

The aim or end results of our efforts in Masonic Education and Masonic Governance should be Masonic Improvement, which will be measured by three things:

  • The level of appreciation and faithful observance of our Basic Tenets and laws and regulations by our Lodges and Masonic Districts;

  • The level of peace and harmony in our Lodges; and

  • The level of genuine affection that the Brethren will have for each other.

May the Supreme Architect bless all our labors.
