It was first proposed as Trowel Lodge when some members of Quezon City Trowel Club decided to organize their own Lodge in the ROXAS District of Quezon City. However, in order to maintain the identity of the organization as a Masonic Club, organizers instead suggested other names like PUGAD LAWIN where Bro. This was followed by the founding of Logia La SOLIDARIDAD No. 53 also chartered by Gran ORIENTE ESPANOL in 1890.
